Introduction

Teppek (“Platform”) is committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Brazil’s LGPD, and other relevant international frameworks.

The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

Data We Collect

We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:

• Location Data: Precise or approximate geolocation for map-based services.
• Profile & Map Entry Data: Name, email, phone, photos, listing details, categories.
• Business / Portfolio Data: Business details, professional qualifications, service descriptions, or portfolio links (optional).
• Technical Data: IP address, device type, browser, cookies, usage analytics. To prevent abuse we keep short-lived request counters keyed by a one-way hash of the IP address (the raw address is not stored); these counters expire within minutes.
• Communications: Messages between users (for safety and fraud prevention).
• Payment Data: For subscriptions or software feature access purchases (if applicable).
• AI Assistant Activity: When you connect an AI assistant, the actions it takes for you — searches, and listings or messages it creates, edits, or sends on your behalf.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we process your data based on one or more of the following:

• Your explicit consent
• Performance of a contract
• Compliance with legal obligations
• Legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security, service improvement)

Purposes of Processing

• Display user-created map entries within the platform interface
• Enable hyperlocal matching and recommendations
• Prevent fraud and abuse
• Ensure platform security and data integrity
• Personalize services and improve analytics
• Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
• Let an AI assistant you authorize search, publish, and manage listings and send messages on your behalf.

Data Sharing & International Transfers

We do not sell your personal data. However, we may share it with:

• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g., Cloudflare)
• Security and fraud detection partners
• Legal authorities when required by law
• The AI assistant you choose to connect (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT), which receives the listing and message data needed to act on your behalf under that provider's own terms.

Where data is transferred outside the EEA, UK, or Türkiye, Teppek implements appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

Data Retention
